2. Installation Verify that the equipment has been installed in accordance will all codes and complies
with the Security Electronics General Section and Division 16 requirements
3. Confirm and verify all equipment is in a pristine new condition with manufacturers warranty still
intact. Make sure all wiring has been tied down and dressed out to professional standards.
4. Confirm all equipment is clean, wiped off and ready for occupancy and Harris County use.
Closeout
1. In the presence of a Harris County representative and Harris County, verify that the material and
software provided meets this specification. If there are deficiencies and the vendor was at fault or
negligent, the vendor is responsible for immediate correction.
2. Training - Verify all training has been completed as is described in Security Electronics General
Section
3. As-Built Documentation Deliver as-built documents for this section and all sections of the Security
Electronics Division. Also deliver all documents, instructions and literature that came with the
material in this section.
REPROCESSED ELECTRONIC HARDWARE
Summary of Work
1. Vendor shall provide these services in addition to the services described in all the Sections.
2. These services shall provide Harris County with reprocessed equipment that is reliable and integrate
seamlessly into all Sections.
Vendor will evaluate, inspect, test and clean all electronic equipment to be reprocessed.
3. All work performed in all Sections shall be performed in a series of stages floor by floor or area by
area in order not to disrupt daily business or institution activities.
SERVICES
Requirements
1. Both SEC Security Electronic Cabinet on the 1st floor containing the Sound System and PLC for
controlling the first floor and basement are to be moved from DVR room into adjacent Comm room.
2. All work (wire, wire installation, terminations and mounting) shall be performed by the systems
vendors to accommodate moving both SEC units into the Comm room.
3. The DVR room will be reassigned as a backup Control Center, with a touchscreen and two multi-
view 22” monitors using TS12.
4. All work (wire, wire installation, terminations and mounting) shall be performed by the systems
vendors to accommodate reassigning DVR room as backup Control Center.
5. All 14 SEC from the 1st floor to the 7th floor shall be inspected, tested and cleaned.
6. All touchscreen control stations shall be inspected, tested and cleaned.
7. All input devices associated with the touchscreen control stations shall be inspected, tested and
cleaned.
8. All intercoms (speakers, microphones and call buttons) shall be inspected, tested and cleaned.
